Continuous Recruitment Positions

Exam No. 2003-43    Police Officer I (PO-05)
Starting Salary - $3,011.00 per month ($36,132.00 a year)

Exam No. 99-03     Police Radio Dispatcher I
Starting Salary - $2,332.00 per month ($27,984.00 a year)


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

All positions within the Maui Police Department have different eligibility requirements and minimum qualifications:

Police Officer I
Police Radio Dispatcher I

Maui County residents can also obtain applications at the Department of Personnel Services, County of Maui Building, Wailuku, all Parks & Recreation District Offices, and all police stations.  On the outer islands, applications can be obtained at your County or State Personnel Services office.  Applicants outside the State of Hawaii* may write to:

*Please read the residency requirement for each position.  [HRS 78-1(c)] "Resident" means a person who is physically present in the State at the time the person claims to have established the person's domicile in the State and shows the person's intent is to make Hawaii the person's permanent residence.  In determining this intent, the following factors shall be considered:

(1)  Maintenance of a domicile or permanent place of residence in the state;
(2)  Absence of residency in another state;
(3)  Former residency in the state.


EMPLOYEES BENEFITS
